Man, The whiners are weird. You have to really not be trying if you think there is NOTHING around you. I took a bag of dimes out and bought 3 things at 2 garage sales...turned $7.50 into $65 PROFIT I live in small town Oklahoma. Its not hard, just be smart and learn. easy to resell.

If returns are "destroying you" Definitely stop for a sec. What are you selling? Is it something susceptible to high fraud theft etc? Like popular electronics etc. ? Or are you doing a bad job listing and leaving out important details etc? This happened to me and I de-listed everything and started over, evaluating everything. Now, YEARS later, returns are rare. 1 out of every 300 sales or so. and I do Clothes!

For the overnight shipping question, I would present this option to the buyer. I would cancel the order per customer request. Repost with overnight shipping option & have the buyer repurchase. Anything else would be a slippery slop, imo💫. If the buyer doesn't want to do this option or have it shipped as is, then the seller is within the right to cancel as this is outside the original terms of the sale.

USPS employee here. Just be aware that anything you pack in a box needs to be no more than 12” or you’ll be getting a way higher rate even on Ground Advantage. If it’s not a light item I would also always suggest one of the priority flat rate boxes as well. It doesn’t matter what the weight is in those and “if it fits, it ships”. If it’s something really big and/or heavy and it’s over a foot long then you should also always check UPS prices. They normally do those types of packages so their rates are geared for that.

I live in a city with about Metro pop of 1,700,000 people (Calgary). Do you have any suggestions for sourcing in a larger city like this, there seems to be so many options, and when we do yard sales, the neighborhoods are massive.

What people don't remember is your write off miles and gas on taxes. Also we don't get paid hourly, so its a mute point to figure out hourly wage.

An observation: there are so many vlogs about sourcing that are not helpful. Some bloggers post 30 minute videos showing themselves digging through the Bins. This content is a waste of my time. In my opinion, my vlogs about determining how to price goods, calculating profit margins, using Sellers Hub, etc. are needed.

This was a great video ! A lot of information. I have a question. I hear you say all the time that is you don’t want to make more than $250k it’s ok to be an everything seller. I am curious as to why that is ? I would think an anything seller would have more opportunity and be less volatile just like investing. You wouldn’t have all your eggs in one basket and you would have a better opportunity to access more good inventory.

I have been an Ebay customer since 2014. I recently tried to sell an item and got an alert saying "your selling privileges have been restricted because our records show that your account is connected to an account that's already restricted or limited. For more information, please check your messages in My eBay" so I went to the messages tab and didn't see any message from eBay detailing the issue. Ok fine, I proceeded to contact customer support after scrolling hours on the internet trying to find a way to reach them. After getting a customer rep on the phone, this individual proceeds to ask me what the question was three times so I kept repeating what the issue was and asking this individual what the reason was for my selling account being revoked. He places me on hold not once but twice over a duration of 30 minutes in total then tells me, "I'm sorry, your account is not appealable." I ask "why is that? I have over 400 reviews on this platform and I've been with eBay for 10 years" and this individual tells me, "we're not allowed to disclose that as it will violate our policy and give away our method of finding that out." I'm wholeheartedly done with this platform and once the most recent item I ordered arrives, I'm deleting my account. What a terrible company.

I hate that I keep missing your live shows! Ugh! Just wanted to give you and other viewers heads up. I recently used contractor trash bags to ship a large train set. The box was already very sturdy, but I wanted to protect the graphics of the box and not treat it like a shipping box which is why I wrapped it like a present with 2 very thick contractor bags. A couple of weeks later I was hit with a label cost adjustment from FedEx that was approx $26. That was just a little higher than my original shipping label. Basically, my shipping cost went just over $50 with the adjustment. I called eBay to help me “appeal” or object to that charge. Not only did FedEx show that the weight and dimensions I had originally used to buy my initial label were both higher than the ACTUAL size and weight of the shipment (showing I essentially overpaid with the first label as well bc I had anticipated shipping it in a box vs the bags), but they charged me even more than my initial label. Luckily, I was given the money back about a week later; however, I did learn that FedEx is justified in charging an extra surcharge when you ship an item in a “unique” way aka the bag vs a box. I’ve never had that happen before, but now I realize it could happen again. Refresh yourselves on the shipping policies for each carrier. They have changed. Hope this helps!

Biggest issue we have is tbe private sellers can list thousands of items for free yet in the UK as a business seller we have to pay a shop subscription im currently paying for 1,500 listings and each additional 6 pence per listing for over £90 bar a month the next shop level is 400 pound yet the usa have far greater benefits especially with the shop subscriptions Not to mention about the clothing private sellers aren't charged yet buissness sellers are how can I complete with them when I've got o erheads to pay plus fees not to mention by law buissness sellers in the UK have to accept returns yet private sellers don't Hence biggest issue we have and is what most UK resellers are on about is private sellers thier limits caped per month I known of loads that got over 10 thousand listings and don't get charged a penny Plus the sellers from China which out tax allows them to post by Weight works out to 1 pence per kg both the uk and USA our taxes are used for this disgraceful discounts and the main reason postage goes up year on year on why should we have to compete with those Another huge issue in find is that smaller sellers aren't allowed tonuse stock images for used items and bigger sellers are not that i agree I don't if its used take a photo
